Polaroids

It’s wonderful how things can go out of style, come back, or stay in style. Polaroids are one of those I am so glad exist today. That is me with my mom and an older friend. It’s also amazing how children can not hide their feelings. They smile when they are happy. When I was about 20 my maternal grandfather had a Polaroid camera. He let me take a picture and I wanted one of those from then on.

I didn’t get a “Polaroid” but I did get a “Instax” as a mother’s day gift! Something I learned from my dad was to let my children learn through hands on experience. So I let my children take pictures of each other and had them take a picture of us. It’s so nice when someone can take a picture of you when your usually behind the camera. Hehe.

My love for photography has only grown stronger and I can see in my kids their interest in capturing moments and freezing time. The love getting their pictures taken and taking pictures of others, especially when they least expect it. I wonder where they get that from? Haha.
